Operational Instructions
Mechanical Stack Integration: Mount the provided soft-dampening rubber grommets into the 25.5mm M2 mounting holes of the Whoop Lite VTX board. Align the board on top of your flight controller's plastic standoffs, making sure the components do not pinch any surface-mount parts.
Digital MIPI Cable Interlocking: Locate the micro-thin 20-pin, 0.30mm pitch MIPI ribbon cable included in the bundle. Carefully align the ribbon lead flat pins and slide the cable head straight into the rear locking socket of the Nano Lite camera, then lock the matching connector socket on the VTX board.
Power Wire Mapping Schema: Solder the included direct wiring connection harness to your flight controller mainboard pads. Connect the Red wire to a positive power pad (ensuring it matches your 1S-3S power distribution layout), Black wire to a Ground (GND) pad, and the remaining SmartAudio/UART lines to a free flight controller TX pad. Connect the harness plug to the VTX power port.
Antenna and Camera Alignment: Click the provided 5.8G linear dipole antenna onto the VTX board's U.FL RF terminal socket, ensuring it snaps securely into place. Position the 14mm Nano Lite camera inside your canopy shell, lock it in using micro screws, and adjust your vertical flight angle.
System Binding and Configuration: Turn on your HDZero FPV Goggles or VRX module and connect a flight pack to the drone. Verify the 720p HD video initializes instantly. Enter the Betaflight Configurator Peripheral tab, configure the chosen UART port to "Peripheral: MSP", and activate the HDZero VTX table to enable remote SmartAudio channel tuning.

Strict MIPI Interface Ribbon Safety: The ultra-fine 20-pin digital ribbon cable transmits high-frequency processing streams. Do not crease, make sharp 90-degree folds, or twist the ribbon line during canopy mounting, as microscopic trace fracturing will cause immediate digital video blackouts, severe data freezing, or permanent connection failure.
Strict 3.3V Camera Power Input Limit: The HDZero Nano Lite camera module is strictly engineered to draw its power from the regulated 3.3V DC power rail provided through the MIPI socket of the Whoop Lite VTX. Never connect the camera power lines directly to standard 5V pads, 9V pads, or external raw battery rails, as bypassing the input limits will cause immediate, unrecoverable sensor component burnout.
RF Transmission Safety Policy: Never power on the Whoop Lite VTX module via a flight battery without the 5.8G linear dipole antenna clicked tightly onto the U.FL connector socket. Operating the VTX without an antenna prevents the transmitter from dissipating its RF energy, causing rapid heat buildup and permanent destruction of the primary amplification circuits.
Thermal Heat Management Warning: High-definition digital video transmitters generate rapid localized heat build-up while sitting idle on the bench without cross-flow ventilation. Avoid leaving the battery connected on the ground for extended setup periods; calibrate settings quickly or utilize a portable field fan to prevent automated thermal shutdown or component degradation.
