Operational Instructions

Mechanical Mounting Integration: Secure the 14mm × 14mm nano-sized camera housing inside your micro drone's designated canopy or camera bracket slots. If installing into a standard 19mm micro frame mount, attach the included 19mm adapter bracket using the provided factory screws. Adjust the vertical tilt angle to match your forward flight velocity before final torque application.

Wiring Interface Connections: Connect the included 3-pin silicone cable to the back of the camera. Solder the opposite bare wire ends directly to your Flight Controller (FC) or Video Transmitter (VTX) circuit pads: Red wire to a positive power pad (3.7V–18V safe), Black wire to a Ground (GND) pad, and Yellow wire to the Video Input (CAM/Video) pad.

Menu Calibration Tuning: To toggle aspect ratios, signal formats, or change brightness levels, temporarily plug the included 5D-OSD menu board into the designated joystick interface tail on the camera harness. Connect a flight pack to the drone, look through your FPV goggles, and navigate the on-screen configuration matrix using the joystick. Disconnect the OSD board before flight to save weight.

Notes

Strict Input Voltage Limits: Blackouts or permanent damage can occur if voltage thresholds are breached. While the built-in regulator safely manages an extensive input corridor up to 18V DC (4S LiPo peak limit), do not attempt to wire this camera module directly to raw 5S or 6S battery lines (21V–25.2V). Exceeding the 18V threshold will cause immediate, catastrophic surface-mount component burnout. For high-voltage builds, always source power from a regulated 5V or 9V flight controller pad.

Low-Grain RF Grounding Check: The exceptional 0.001 Lux ultra-low-light capability relies on pristine electrical feeds. To prevent high-frequency electrical motor noise from injecting rolling diagonal lines across your video feed, ensure the camera shares a solid ground loop reference with the flight controller and video transmitter.

Avoid Mechanical Over-Tightening: When locking the side camera casing mounting screws into soft plastic whoop canopies or carbon fiber frame brackets, tighten only until light resistance is felt. Excessive torque can crack the 14mm casing, strip structural threads, or compress internal circuit traces.
