Operational Instructions
Mounting Canopy Integration: Select the desired lens tilt bracket (20° or 30° mount). Secure the micro camera module into the selected bracket, then position the sub-assembly inside the provided BetaFPV Micro Canopy shell.
Tilt Adjustment and Fastening: Align the side mounting holes of the assembly with the canopy structure tracks. Use the included M1.4 hardware screws (black or silver depending on the target mount point) to lock the orientation firmly.
Wiring Interface Connections: Solder or plug the camera’s three-wire silicone lead array to your flight controller or Video Transmitter (VTX) pads: Red wire to 5V/3.3V Pad, Black wire to Ground (GND) Pad, and Yellow wire to the Video Input (CAM) Pad.
Pre-Flight Video Validation: Power up the aircraft via a flight pack while monitoring your FPV goggles. Verify the 1200TVL video stream feed initializes instantly and check that the 4:3 aspect ratio correctly tracks sharp light adjustments.
Notes
Strict Micro-Sized Lens Maintenance: The ultra-small M7 optics lens is precisely factory-focused. Avoid twisting the lens barrel assembly forcefully unless adjusting focus locks, as doing so can breach internal water-resistant threading seals or degrade image convergence.
Avoid Massive Input Voltage Overdrive: This micro camera is strictly limited to an absolute maximum input ceiling of 5.5V DC. Do not attempt to run this circuit directly from 2S–6S flight battery voltage lines, as doing so will cause immediate, unrecoverable sensor component burnout. Always supply power via a regulated 5V or 3.3V pad on the flight controller.
Securing Hardware Over-Tightening Warning: When installing the small M1.4 mounting screws into the ABS camera bracket or canopy, stop turning immediately once resistance is felt. Applying excessive torque will easily strip out the soft plastic mounting threads, causing the camera core to vibrate or shift loosely during flight.
