These antennas utilize a unique patch-directional signal profile, a feature that delivers significantly greater range when flying in front of you, while still maintaining a rock-solid link when flying behind you. Furthermore, the antenna utilizes the ground you stand on to reflect and amplify your signal, performing far beyond what traditional antennas can achieve.

"Some pilots were experiencing sudden signal drops at random times. I investigated four of these cases and discovered that all drops occurred at the exact same relative azimuth. It was clear that the conductive ground was causing a null between the 0–5 and 15–20 degree azimuth marks. The issue wasn't the TBS Crossfire transmitter itself, but rather the ground the pilots were standing on. To fix this, I designed an antenna that would not only resist ground effects but also track the signal along the ground during low-altitude flights. This required a balanced closed-loop structure. The result is the TBS Diamond antenna!"
