ELRS Nano TX BetaFPV Module

The BETAFPV Nano RF TX module is based on the ExpressLRS project — an open-source RC link for radio control applications. ExpressLRS aims to achieve peak link performance in terms of speed, low latency, and range, making it one of the fastest RC links available while maintaining long-range capability.

Compatibility & Features

The BETAFPV Nano RF module is compatible with radio transmitters featuring a Nano module bay (AKA Lite module bay, such as Frsky Taranis X-Lite, Frsky Taranis X9D Lite, TBS Tango 2, etc.).

Important: Always attach the antenna before powering on the module. Operating without an antenna will permanently damage the PA chip in the Nano TX module.

Firmware Updates

Default firmware on the Nano receiver and TX module is ELRS V1.0.0-RC5. Official V1.0.0 updates include:

2.4G Nano TX module support for 500Hz refresh rate.

Quick-pressing the button on the Nano module 3 times enters bind mode.

Notes:

TX module and receiver must run the same ELRS major version to bind successfully.

The TX module does not support WiFi updates. Use the ExpressLRS Configurator to update firmware.

Basic Configuration

ExpressLRS uses the Crossfire serial protocol (CRSF) to communicate between the radio transmitter and the Nano TX module.

In OpenTX/EdgeTX model settings, turn off Internal RF.

Turn on External RF and select CRSF as the protocol.

Save the ELRS.lua script to the Scripts/Tools folder on your transmitter's SD card to access setup options via the system tools menu.

Binding & Output Power

Enter bind mode via the ELRS LUA script or by short-pressing the button on the module 3 times consecutively (the module exits bind mode automatically after 5 seconds).

Long-pressing the button on the module toggles the RF output power, indicated by the LED color:

Blue: 100mW

Purple: 250mW

Red: 500mW
